Work process
Roof coating begins with detailed preparation, since a carefully cleaned and properly prepared surface is the foundation of a durable coating. First, the sensitive elements on the roof — such as the flashing and the solar panels — are protected so they remain safe during the work. This is followed by high-pressure cleaning, which removes dirt, discolouration, and other contaminants from the roof surface.
The cleaned surface then receives a deep primer, which promotes proper adhesion of the roof coating and even coverage of the surface. The coating is subsequently applied in two layers, ensuring a durable, attractive, and weather-resistant result. If the roof has spare tiles, they can also be spray-coated to match, up to a maximum of 10 pieces.
The roof coating process therefore not only renews the appearance of the roof, but also contributes to its longer service life and better protection. Precise preparation and careful workmanship result in a beautiful, tidy, and long-lasting roof surface.

Technology inspired by nature
The surface formed by the products of the Dryonic® family is based on a bionic operating principle developed over 20 years. The inspiration was the desert fog-drinking beetle. Native to the Namib Desert, this beetle has adapted perfectly to the conditions there: constant drought is no problem for it, because it obtains drinking water from fog. Its secret lies in the countless microscopic point-like bumps covering its chitin shell, which allow it to quickly convert the humidity in the air into liquid — while the hydrophilic peaks aid condensation, the hydrophobic valleys between them create a water-draining effect.
Sto's specialists transformed this observation from nature into the highest-performing paints. The paint's special surface structure ensures that dew and rain leave it in record time, so algae and fungi have no food source. Additional technologies prevent the surface from heating up under solar radiation, even on wood-clad surfaces.

Ensures that dew and rainwater run off as quickly as possible and the roof surface dries fast. Because microorganisms cannot settle on a dry base surface, the roof naturally stays clean and beautiful.
X-black Technology
Even with dark shades, it safely keeps heat peaks caused by solar radiation below 65 °C. This prevents roof surfaces from overheating and the cracking that results from high temperatures.
SunBlock Technology
Protects against aggressive UV radiation. Thanks to this, even intense shades stay vibrant for a long time, making an almost unlimited range of colours available.
