Energy calculator

How much do new windows and facade insulation help?

Enter the details of the family house. The calculator compares how much heating heat loss drops with 2- or 3-pane windows, facade insulation, and the two together.

m²
m²
New windows

Calculated whole-window heat transfer: 2-pane Uw 1.2, 3-pane Uw 0.8 W/m²K.

Where does the heat go? Heating heat loss by structure, W/K
Structure Now After windows + facade Change

Simplified calculation: based on the heat transfer of structures and infiltration ventilation, for an average Hungarian heating season. The 30% condition of the Wekerle+ programme is proven by the energy certificate against total primary energy, so the real result may differ. We provide an exact calculation at the survey.

How the subsidy works

Five steps to the subsidy

The order is the same in both programmes. At every step we describe what we take on.

  1. Certificate before

Energy certificate before the renovation. We arrange it.

  2. Renovation

The works are carried out, with invoices. We do the facade works with our own team.

  3. Certificate after

Energy certificate after the renovation. We arrange it.

  4. Proving the 30%

Comparing the two certificates proves the saving. We put the documents together.

  5. Early repayment

The subsidy amount is deducted from the loan principal. We follow the settlement through.

Frequently asked

What people ask most

Who can apply for the Family House Programme?

Private individuals, regardless of age. For detached, terraced and semi-detached houses, and for individually heated flats in small-unit buildings.

What does "non-refundable subsidy" mean?

After the renovation, if the two energy certificates prove at least a 30% saving, the loan principal is reduced by the subsidy amount. This part does not have to be repaid.

Why does the subsidy depend on the rating?

The rating before renovation decides: 30% for D–G, 50% for H–I. No subsidy is available for A–C rated properties.

How do I know my house's rating?

From the energy certificate. If you don't have one, we arrange the pre-renovation certificate; at the survey we can already give you a preliminary estimate.

How much own funding is needed?

In the Family House Programme, 5% on top of the loan, up to HUF 500,000. In the Apartment & Panel Programme, HUF 200,000 per flat.

Where do I apply for the loan?

At the financial institutions taking part in the programme. They inform you about the detailed terms, rates and fees, and they assess the loan.

Can I replace the gas boiler through the programme?

No, a gas boiler is not eligible in either programme. A heat pump, however, is.
